BRAND IDENTITY, ART & ILLUSTRATION · BENTONVILLE, ARKANSAS
Design that helps good work take root.
Maple Key Studio is the practice of designer and illustrator Andrew Steger — sixteen years of identity systems and original illustration for the arts, the outdoors, and organizations with something worth believing in.
CRAFT PROVEN AT SCALE
The same hand has shipped work at national scale.
Before the studio narrowed its focus to mission-driven partners, that craft went out the door for some of the largest brands in the country — retail, packaging, and campaign illustration produced through SaatchiX.

The Studio
One designer. Sixteen years.
A bias toward meaning.
Maple Key Studio is a solo practice, which means the person you talk to is the person doing the work — start to finish, strategy to final art.
Andrew Steger has spent more than a decade and a half designing brand identities and drawing illustration from Bentonville, Arkansas — a place he believes has its own worth, not because it resembles a bigger city, but because it doesn't.
The studio takes on a deliberately small slate of mission-aligned partners: arts institutions, the outdoors and conservation, nonprofits, and organizations whose values are the point. Fewer clients, deeper work.
Strategy before surface
The design is the last thing we make. First we get clear on what the organization actually stands for.
